Only a biological parent or legal guardian with a custody order or Power of Attorney can enroll a child.

1. Child's birth certificate, passport or military ID showing date and place of birth.

2. Immunization records (with vaccinations listed below)

   • 4 or 5 doses of DTaP

   • 4 doses of Polio

   • 3 doses of Hep B

   • 2 doses of Varicella

   • 2 doses of MMR

3. Proof of Address (utility bill or rental contract page showing name and address).

4. Parent's or legal guardian's photo identification.

5. If the student is not living with at least one biological parent, a copy of legal paperwork showing proof of custody is also required.

6. Please provide (if applicable): Current special education services/programs, such as Advanced Learning Plan, Gifted and Talented, Special Accommodations, or Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

7. Name and phone number of the student's previous school to request records.

8. Children entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before October 1st.

9. Children entering Preschool must be 4 years old on or before October 1st (more information below)

11. $40 annual fee for school supplies

2. All the above-mentioned documentation will need to be turned in before starting school, and the child will need to be up to date on all vaccinations  requirements or he will not be able to start.

3. Vaccinations required for Preschoolers are a little different:

These are the state requirements for preschoolers, no exceptions.

1. Before you can enroll your preschooler at Roosevelt, you must apply online with the Colorado Universal Preschool   at www.UPK.colorado.gov and wait for approval.

2. Once you are approved by UPK for Roosevelt, please come to the school with all documentation to enroll.

Kindergarten to 5th grade:

1. Pre-Register your child online by clicking here: RCA Student Enrollment   This is only a pre-registration; you must come to Roosevelt with the required documents listed below, to sign other required documentation and  to receive the informational packet prior to the enrollment being final.

2. If you prefer to complete the enrollment on paper please click here for English or Spanish to print the documents. Please read them thoroughly and answer all the questions legibly.  Once complete, bring to the school office the required documents (see below) and plan to be there for one hour.

3. If neither of the parents are on the rental agreement because you live with family or friends, please print this Third Party Proof of Address form and have the person whose name is on the rental complete the English or the Spanish form and bring it to the office. 

4. If required documents were not uploaded during online pre-registration, please bring the following to our office:

   • Child’s birth certificate

   • Proof of address

   • Parents photo identification

   • Any legal documentation regarding custody (if applicable)

   • Child’s immunization records

5.  Complete final paperwork in our office and receive informational packet

Preschoolers (4 years old only)

1. Ensure you have already applied for UPK online and are approved for Roosevelt, if not click here: www.UPK.colorado.gov 

2. After you receive an approval email from UPK, please come to Roosevelt to confirm and bring the following documents:

   • Child’s birth certificate

   • Proof of address

   • Parents photo identification

   • Proof of income

   • Any legal documentation regarding custody (if applicable)

   • Child’s immunization records already up to date

   • Complete final paperwork in our office and receive informational packet

3.  If you prefer to pre-register online, click here: RCA Student Enrollment, complete online, then please come to the office with the required documents listed above, to sign other required documentation and to receive the informational packet prior to the enrollment being final.

4.  If you prefer to complete the enrollment on paper, you can click here to print the forms in English or Spanish. Please read them thoroughly, answer all the questions legibly.  Once completed, bring them to the school office with the required documents listed above.

5. If neither of the parents are on the rental agreement because you live with family or friends, please print this Third Party Proof of Address form and have the person whose name is on the rental complete the English or the Spanish form and bring it to the office.

6.  If you prefer to come to the office to complete the enrollment, bring all documentation and plan to be there for an hour.

If enrollment requests exceed the capacity of the school, the following criteria will be used to establish priority for admissions:

Kindergarten - Fifth Grade

• New students with no prior affiliation who live in the school area.

• Currently or previously enrolled students in good standing

• Children of all staff

• Siblings of enrolled students and families already established.

Pre-School

• Siblings of enrolled students and families already established and/or Staff Children

• New students with no prior affiliation who live in the school area.

Following this, new students can enroll to attend Roosevelt Charter Academy through an open lottery process. Prospective students are processed in a random lottery where each candidate has an equal chance of being selected. Roosevelt Charter Academy does not make any distinction on account of ability, race, creed, color, gender, national origin, or religion of any student who seeks admission.

In response to letters of intent exceeding available seats, Roosevelt will hold an enrollment lottery. In the event a lottery is necessary, it will be conducted on a TBD basis, at which time all applicants who complete a letter of intent are randomly chosen to fill available seats and waitlist order. The lottery results will be available within 10 days of the drawing. Parents/Guardians will be notified of the lottery result by email or telephone number provided on the application, based on order drawn. If offered enrollment, parents/guardians will have 3 business days from date notified to accept the offered seat through email or written communication to Roosevelt. If there is no response within those 3 business days, Roosevelt will consider this an effective declining of the offered seat. No students will be exempt from the lottery unless they are already enrolled.

The school year 24/25 has not required the use of a lottery for enrollment. This page will continue to be updated as the school lottery system is necessary for any future enrollment.
