Welcome Back! It was so great to see you all at our Meet the Teacher event on August 18th!
We have officially kicked off the 2020-2021 school year and I thank you all for your support with this endeavor. We were able to distribute more than 400 Chromebooks to Roosevelt students for distance learning and with the availability of on-site technology support, we currently have a student count of 493 participating in our hybrid model that includes both in-person learning and virtual via our Schoology / Seesaw platform. With health guidelines in place, our students that present with diversified learning needs have the opportunity for in-person instruction and access to on-site learning resources to teach them the necessary skills to be successful during this time. Additionally, this model has allowed us to work through our beginning of the year testing schedule to determine areas of need and we thank our parents for working to get our students to school on a staggered schedule to get this completed.
For as long as we are required to function in this manner, we are dedicated to adapting and refining our approach to accommodate a realistic at home learning program and a successful transition to this new model for education. To our families, we can’t thank you enough for taking on this new role in your child’s life and learning right along with us to make sure our little ones continue to grow their skills.
